The WhatsApp QR code feature simplifies communication by generating unique QR codes for each user. When customers scan a user’s QR code, they are instantly directed to a WhatsApp conversation with that user, eliminating the need for phone number sharing and ensuring seamless interactions.

What is a WhatsApp QR code?

A WhatsApp QR code is a tool that allows customers to start a conversation with a specific user by scanning their unique QR code. This feature enhances convenience and efficiency, enabling customers to connect with the right team member quickly without requiring a phone number.
 

Download WhatsApp QR code

To view and download a user’s WhatsApp QR code:

1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner, navigate to “General”
2. Click on “WhatsApp QR code” tab
3. On the WhatsApp QR code tab, you can:
   1. Update user’s display name in pre-filled message 
   2. Click “Download QR code” to save the QR code
   3. Click “Copy WhatsApp link” to copy the URL associated with the QR code
       

Updating display name

The display name is the name that appears in the pre-filled message when a customer starts a conversation by scanning a user’s QR code. The system uses this name to assign the conversation to the correct user as the contact owner.

To update the display name linked to a user’s QR code:

1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner, navigate to “General”
2. Click on “WhatsApp QR code”
3. Edit display name in the pre-filled message text field 
   
    

Updating WhatsApp QR code channel

You can configure a user's WhatsApp QR code channel directly from the User Management page. 

To update the WhatsApp QR code channel linked to a user's QR code:

1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner, navigate to “User management”
2. Navigate to the user's record that you want to edit 
3. Navigate to the “QR code channel” column 
4. Use the dropdown to update the WhatsApp channel 

Once you updated the WhatsApp QR code channel, you can download the user's WhatsApp QR code by clicking the icon next to their record.
