How page tracking works
ℹ️ Note: Page tracking requires Live Chat Widget 2.0 to be installed and actively running on your website. You can follow the steps in this Help Center article to set up your Live Chat Widget 2.0.
Live Chat Widget 2.0 automatically starts capturing a visitor’s browsing activity as soon as they land on your website. The following details are tracked:
- Visitor entry page (Landing page URL): The very first page a visitor opens when arriving at your site.
- Chat start page: The page where the visitor launches the Live Chat widget and begins a conversation.

Visited pages: A chronological list of every page viewed during the session, showing:
- Page title and URL
- Time spent on each page
- Order of visit (latest page shown first)
- Visit date: The date of the browsing session.
Accessing tracked data in Inbox
Once a chat begins, the tracked browsing data becomes visible to your team inside the SleekFlow Inbox.
You can follow the steps below to access the tracked data in Inbox
- Click on the
icon on the left navigation bar to go to Inbox
- Go to a conversation using Live Chat Widget 2.0
- In the conversation, click on the
at the top right corner to open the contact info panel
- Click on the
icon to switch to the “Live chat web session” tab
- In this “Live chat web session” tab, you will find 3 sections:
- Visitor info
- Shows basic session details such as:
- Browser language: The language detected from the visitor’s browser settings.
- Last visited on: The last time the visitor accessed your website.
- IP location: The visitor’s location based on their IP address.
- Visitor entry page: The first page the visitor opened when arriving on your site.
- Chat start page: The page where the visitor launched the Live Chat widget and began a conversation.
- Shows basic session details such as:
- Contact form
- Shows the details a visitor submitted through the contact form (if enabled):
- Name: The visitor’s name as entered.
- Phone number: The phone number provided.
- Email address: The email address provided.
- Marketing consent: Indicates whether the visitor agreed to receive marketing messages (Yes/No).
- Shows the details a visitor submitted through the contact form (if enabled):
- Recently viewed pages
- Displays the visitor’s browsing history during their session, including:
- Page title and URL: The name and link of each page visitedTime spent: How long the visitor stayed on each page
