Facebook Messenger is a powerful tool that allows businesses to connect directly with their customers through real-time messaging. By connecting your Facebook Page’s Messenger with SleekFlow, you can manage and respond to customer inquiries efficiently from a unified platform.
Starting a conversation
On Facebook Messenger, the standard 24-hour messaging window permits businesses to respond to user messages within 24 hours. However, with SleekFlow’s integration of Meta’s Human Agent message tag, this window is extended to 7 days by default, allowing businesses to manually respond to user messages within a 7-day period.
Additionally, if a customer comments on your Facebook Page’s post or story, you can initiate a private message to them within 7 days to address their inquiry. Each time the customer responds, this 7-day window resets, providing flexibility in communication.
Note: SleekFlow uses Meta’s Human Agent message tag to automatically extend the standard 24-hour conversation window to 7 days. This feature enables human agents to provide support for cases that cannot be resolved within the standard timeframe, such as when a business is closed on weekends or when an issue requires more time to address. Using message tags for conversations outside of the conversation window
Facebook permits businesses to send specific non-promotional messages outside the standard messaging window using approved message tags. The available tags include:
- Confirmed event update: For sending reminders or updates about events customers have registered for, such as appointment reminders or booking confirmations.
- Post-purchase update: To notify customers about updates on their recent purchases, including invoices, receipts, or shipment updates.
- Account update: For informing customers about non-recurring changes to their account or application, like application status updates or fraud alerts.
You can follow the steps below to send a message using a tag outside the 7-day window:
- Navigate to the Inbox and select the desired Facebook contact
- Click on the “Choose a Message Tag” button in the text field
- Select the appropriate message tag that aligns with your message’s purpose
- Compose your message in the text box and send it
Important: Sending tagged or marketing messages outside of the approved use cases may lead to restrictions on your Facebook Page’s messaging capabilities, including potential account bans. Ensure compliance with Meta’s policies to maintain uninterrupted access.
