When you connect Facebook Messenger to SleekFlow, you can manage your Facebook Page’s messages from your SleekFlow Inbox. You can also use Messenger in automations, for example to reply to customers, assign conversations to teammates, and send automated replies to comments on your Facebook posts.

You can connect multiple Facebook Messenger channels to your SleekFlow account.

Before you start

To connect Facebook Messenger, you need:

• A Facebook Page added to a Meta Business Portfolio. SleekFlow connects to your Page through Meta’s business tools. If the Page isn’t in a portfolio, it won’t appear when you select Pages during setup.
• Full control of both the portfolio and the Page. Without it, Meta may not show the Page during setup, or may not confirm it, and the connection fails.
• Messaging turned on for your Page. If customers can’t message your Page, there are no conversations for SleekFlow to receive, and the connection can fail. See Meta’s guide on turning messaging on for Facebook Page

When you start connecting, SleekFlow asks you to confirm these three items. If you’re not sure about any of them, use the sections below to check.

Add your Facebook Page to your Meta Business Portfolio

Your Facebook Page must be added to a Meta Business Portfolio before you can connect it to SleekFlow. If it isn’t, the Page won’t appear when you select Pages during setup.

To add your Facebook Page to your Meta Business Portfolio:

1. In Meta Business Settings, go to Accounts > Pages.
2. Click + Add.
   
3. Select “Add an existing Facebook Page”.
   
4. Paste your Facebook Page URL.
   
5. Select the Facebook Page you want to add, then click “Next”.
   
6. Review the people who have access to the Page, then click “Next”.
   
7. Select the checkbox to accept the terms.
8. Click “Add Page”.
   

When the Page appears under Accounts > Pages, you can continue connecting it in SleekFlow.

Step-by-step guide

Once you have completed the checklist above, you can follow the steps below to connect to your Facebook Messenger channel to SleekFlow: 

1. Click the icon on the left navigation bar to go to the “Channel” page
   
2. Select “Facebook Messenger”
3. Under “Confirm the following before you connect”, select each item to confirm it. The “Connect via Meta” button stays disabled until you confirm all three.
   
4. Click Connect via Meta.
   
   
5. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the password to sign in to your Facebook account. Then click “Continue”. 

6. Select the Facebook Business Portfolio and the Facebook Page you would like to connect

7. Select the Facebook page you would like to connect to SleekFlow. Then click “Continue”. 

8. Review the access granted to SleekFlow. Click “Confirm

9. Once the page is successfully connected, you will see a success page. Click “Finish”
   

You’ll return to the Facebook Messenger channel page, and a success message appears at the bottom left of the screen.
