Seamlessly connect your Telegram channel with SleekFlow to manage customer conversations, automate responses, and streamline communication. By connecting your Telegram account and bot to SleekFlow, you can engage with customers efficiently while leveraging Telegram’s messaging capabilities for support and marketing.

What is a Telegram bot?

A Telegram channel allows businesses to broadcast messages and communicate with customers using Telegram bots. By integrating Telegram with SleekFlow, you can automate customer interactions, send messages, and manage conversations efficiently.

Starting a conversation

To use Telegram for messaging, you must connect a Telegram bot to SleekFlow. Follow the steps in this Help Center article to connect your account.

In Telegram, customers must initiate the conversation first before a business can reply. Businesses cannot send messages proactively. Customers can start a conversation in two ways:

  • Scanning a QR code: A QR code provided by SleekFlow can be used to direct customers to start a chat. You can find this QR code in the channel settings. Learn more about accessing your Telegram channel QR code here
  • Searching for the bot name: Customers can manually search for your bot’s name in the Telegram app and start a conversation.

Once a conversation is started, businesses can engage with the customer within Telegram’s messaging policies.

Supported message types

You can send and receive the following message types in the SleekFlow Telegram integration:

Message and conversation limitations

Telegram has certain restrictions in place to maintain a structured messaging experience:

Conversation window

Businesses can only respond to customers after they have initiated a conversation. There are no time restrictions once a conversation has started, meaning businesses can continue messaging as long as the customer has engaged with the bot.

Recalling and editing messages

  • Messages cannot be recalled or edited after being sent
  • Messages cannot be deleted once received in SleekFlow
  • Customers can delete messages from their Telegram app, but this will not affect message visibility in SleekFlow

Message costs

Using Telegram bots is free of charge. There are no messaging fees associated with sending or receiving messages through the Telegram integration in SleekFlow.
