Connecting WeChat Official to SleekFlow

Understand the prerequisites and steps needed to connect your WeChat account

Connect your WeChat account with SleekFlow to see and reply to messages in your team inbox.

If you have not created a WeChat Official Account, please register a "Service Account 服务号" here.

Prerequisites before connecting your WeChat account to SleekFlow

To connect a WeChat Service Account to SleekFlow, please note the following:

Supported account type: SleekFlow supports integration exclusively with WeChat Official Accounts (公众号), specifically Service Accounts (服务号). These accounts must be verified by WeChat, meeting their verification requirements.
Unsupported account types: Other WeChat account types, such as Enterprise WeChat (企业微信), are not currently supported by SleekFlow.
Single account connection: You can connect only one WeChat Official Account per SleekFlow account. This integration supports a single set of webhooks configured within the WeChat dashboard.

Connecting your WeChat account to SleekFlow

You can follow the steps below to connect your WeChat account to SleekFlow:

Go to “Channels” page by clicking on the icon on the left navigation bar
Select “WeChat” on the left-side menu to go to the “WeChat channel” page
Click “Connect” on the top right corner of the screen
You will be redirected to the “Connect WeChat” page
Enter the following details on the page:
1. Webhook URL
  The system wil automatically fill this in
2. Verification token
  The system will automatically fill this in
3. Channel name
  Specify the name of the WeChat channel. This name will be used internally only and will not be visible to your customer
4. App ID
  From the WeChat Dashboard, navigate to the “Basic Configuration | 基本配置” page in the left-hand column. You can find this section below “Development | 開發”
  
  On the “Basic Configuration | 基本配置” page, you will be able to find your “App ID | 开发者ID”
  
  Go ahead and paste the App ID in the “Connecting WeChat” page on SleekFlow.
5. App Secret
  On the same “Basic Configuration | 基本配置” page, to generate the App Secret | 开发者密码, you must complete two verification steps.
  First, scan the QR code displayed on the webpage. Then, re-enter your account password.
  Once you complete these security measures, a new App Secret will be generated.
  You can follow the steps below to complete the verification:
  1. Whitelist IP address
    You will need to add SleekFlow’s IP address to WeChat’s configuration. You can follow the steps below:
    1. Return to the WeChat “Basic Configuration | 基本配置” page, and click “View | 查看” under the IP whitelist section.
    2. Add (by clicking “Modify | 修改”) the following SleekFlow IP address to the whitelist:
    3. You will need to check and copy your SleekFlow's IP address. Sign in to SleekFlow again.
    4. After signing in, hover your mouse pointer over the SleekFlow logo at the top left. Then, you will see the name of the server that is hosting your account
    5. Find and copy the IP address for different server locations:

    6. Paste the IP address to the “IP whitelist configurations | IP白名單設置” module and confirm the changes
    7. Finally, verify your identity by scanning a QR code once again
  2. Webhook URL and token
    1. On the same page, click the “修改配置 | Change Configuration” button to open the Configuration menu.
    2. Copy the URL and Token from Step a. and b. platform and paste them into their respective fields.
    3. Generate an Encoding AES key and select “明文模式 | Plain Text Mode” for message encryption.
    4. Click “Submit” to save the settings. Once succeeded, a green message should appear.
      
      You need to enable these changes to ensure messages are forwarded to the platform. Click the green “Enable | 启用” button. Once enabled, the button will turn red and display “Disable | 停用.”
6. Upload your WeChat QR code to SleekFlow
  You can find your QR code under “Settings | 设置” → “Account Info | 公众号设置”. Click Download QR Code | 下载二维码 and select the 8cm option.
  
  After you have downloaded the QR code, go back to the “Connect WeChat” page on SleekFlow and upload the QR code
Click “Connect”
Your account has been successfully connected! Any messages sent to your WeChat Official Account will now appear in your SleekFlow Inbox.
