Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your SleekFlow account, keeping it safe from unauthorized access.
In this guide, we’ll walk through what 2FA is, when it’s required, and how to set it up in just a few steps.
What is 2FA?
When you enable 2FA in your SleekFlow account, you will need two steps of verification when signing in:
- Your SleekFlow password
- A one-time code generated by an authenticator app
This ensures your account stays secure, protecting sensitive customer data and business information from unauthorized access.
When do I need to set up 2FA?
It depends on whether 2FA is required depends on your company’s security settings:
If your organization’s admin has enabled 2FA, you’ll need to complete the setup before accessing your SleekFlow account.
ℹ️ Only admin users can access and update the 2FA settings for your company’s SleekFlow account, refer to this article for more details: Setting up two-factor authentication for your organization
How to set up 2FA for your account
After your company admin enables 2FA, there’s a 24-hour waiting period before setup is required. Once this time has passed, you will be prompted to setup 2FA by:
-
Invitation email: You’ll receive an email once your company enables 2FA. Follow the instructions inside to begin.
- Sign-in prompt: If you haven’t set up 2FA yet, you’ll be guided through the process the next time you log in.
Both options take you to the Secure Your Account page in SleekFlow to complete the setup.
Complete the 2FA setup by following the steps below:
-
Download an authenticator app: Choose and install an authenticator app on your mobile device. Popular options include:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- LastPass Authenticator
- 1Password
- Open your authenticator app and add a new account for your SleekFlow account
- Return to the Secure Your Account page in SleekFlow, scan the QR code with your authenticator to connect to SleekFlow
-
Enter the one-time code generated by your authenticator into SleekFlow to confirm
💡 Tip: If you can’t scan the QR code, click “Trouble Scanning?” to copy the code manually into your authenticator app.
Logging in with 2FA enabled
Once 2FA is set up:
- Each time you log in, enter your password as usual.
-
You’ll then be asked for the one-time code from your authenticator app.
If the code is correct, you’ll be signed in. If not, you’ll stay on the same page to try again.
